    Implant surgery shouldn’t be painful. Most patients rarely complain of pain during or after the surgery. Your implants are placed using local anaesthetic so you won’t feel a thing. Some discomfort for the first few days following the procedure is normal, and can be controlled by regular painkillers. Most patients are able to return to their usual daily lives the next day with minimal disruption.

Dr Ferakh J Hamid

Dr Ferakh Hamid has over 20 years of experience in general practice, and has held a special interest in cosmetic and implant dentistry for several years. He is a member of the Association of Dental Implantologists and has attended many courses to further his skills and knowledge in this area.

Dr Hamid is the lead dentist at Aesthetique Dental Care and is a Platinum Invisalign provider. Over the years, he has been responsible for helping thousands of patients solve their dental problems and for creating beautiful smiles. These patients include everyday people as well as well-known public figures and celebrities. Dr Hamid has trained internationally with implant dentists in the UK, Germany, France and Brazil. He also has completed training with the Royal College of Surgeons, where he attended a two-year dental implant course. He has also completed the year-long restorative dentistry course at the St. Anne’s Dental Academy in Manchester. Dr Hamid has been awarded a certificate in Orthodontics from Warwick University and holds an MSc with distinction in Implant Dentistry from the University of Salford. To date, Dr Hamid has helped to create hundreds of straight smiles using Invisalign. He is very experienced in all Invisalign treatments and has advanced training in digital dentistry. He is a proud user of the iTero digital scanner for Invisalign treatments. Dr Hamid is the only mentor for Six Month Smiles in Leeds, and helps other dentists learn how to carry out this branch of orthodontics. He is also a certified Inman Aligner dentist.
