Veneers

A veneer covers the front surface of a tooth and are made to resemble the natural shape of a tooth.

They are commonly used to cover a tooth when the enamel has been damaged or discoloured. They can also be used to change the shape of teeth and to close gaps.

Veneers are made from thin facings of porcelain which are bonded to the front surface of the teeth to create a beautiful smile.

If you are considering a complete smile makeover then between 6-10 veneers are usually placed on the upper front teeth which can really work wonders on transforming a smile. However, each case is different and following your initial consultation with Dr Hamid he will discuss how veneers can help to improve your smile.

Before making your final veneers we usually recommend that moulds are taken of your existing teeth which are then sent to our dental ceramist with precise instructions of what your veneers should look like. Our ceramist will then creates a wax model of how your enhanced smile will look. This is known as a diagnostic wax up.

Once you have approved your diagnostic wax up your teeth are then prepared to accept your new veneers. You will then be fitted with temporary veneers whilst your bespoke veneers are made by our ceramist. Approximately one week later your porcelain veneers are fitted to give you that smile that you have always wanted.
