Nervous Patients

At Aesthetique, Leeds and Wakefield we welcome nervous patients.  Due to our friendly, consumer orientated and communicative approach to dental care, nervous patients automatically feel at ease at our dental practice.

At routine examination, we always enquire into previous dental history taking great care to identify previous bad experiences to ensure we don’t make the same mistakes as previous dentists.  We also try to assess psychological fears and never trivialise your concerns.

In the rare event that someone still feels uneasy about receiving treatment, we can arrange sedation to put you at ease.

Oral sedation (Temazepam) is very easy to administer and control

but for serious dental-phobes,
Intravenous sedation (Midazolam) is a safe and powerful tool for those afraid of the dentist.

A chaperone is essential during and for 24 hours after sedation
Patients must not drive, operate machinery or sign important documents for 24 hours after sedation.”
