Botox

Botox (Botulinum Toxin) is a chemical compound that relaxes muscle tissue. Facial surgeons have exploited this property for use in facial cosmetics to selectively relax certain facial muscles. This has the overall effect of reducing wrinkles.
After all wrinkles are caused by the movement of muscles creasing the skin. Frown & look in the mirror – as soon as your frown muscles move, the wrinkles appear. Relax the muscles & the wrinkles disappear. It’s that simple. Call our practice in Leeds for further information. |

The botox serum takes 1 – 2 weeks to take effect and the wrinkles disappear as the serum takes effect. Normally, the serum loses its potency after 6 – 8 months when top up treatments are required. Due to the nature of muscle atrophy, the more botox you have, the less you need.
